To: Ernie,
You are on the right track.
Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.
To: Giddy up.
You are not the only famous Floridian who has said "good stuff"

I watch the news casts and listen to the "experts." A lot of what they say seems to make sense.
Our president is surely not afraid to act on principle to defend the nation against the enemy.
I guess the question is this:
Do they know who the enemy is?
I'm not talking about a 6'5" tall Arab, they are.

Perhaps the "experts" need to read what I read today.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."
Am I just old fashioned?
The late, great, Pogo was almost right.
The enemy is, in a way, us. If we fail to understand who the enemy really is.
My prayer tonight is that the people of this great nation will come to realise that this battle must be fought by those who are not afraid to get down on their knees.

Tuesday evening.
It happened again!
Remember the old song Shifting Whispering Sands?
That's what happens to my thoughts!!!!!!

"Sometimes you don't know how good you are."
"Sometimes you'll even surprise yourself."
Howard Schnellenberger
While I was at the office today I had this really inspiring thought. I went back to work thinking I'll share that later.
Like a ripple in a pond it stayed for a while, became ever more faint, and now it is gone.
Is old age happening to me? Or maybe it was't so good after all.
Gary made a lot of sense yesterday about "promoting" (my word) people to jobs they are already doing.
"Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right."
Proverbs 20:11

What an incredible visit!
The cousins could not get enough of each others company. Some cried when they had to part.
13 year old A. J. and 11 Year old L. J. (grandchildren) just hanging onto us as we prepared to leave.
We are blessed.! Before Thanksgiving dinner son in law went around and asked all the relatives, in laws and children to share what they are thankful for, then read them out loud to everyone before the meal.
Almost every entry had to do not with things but with people.
We helped A. J. with a homework assingment, she really didn't need much help.
Welcome new guy.
Sometimes I wonder if I should "kill" this log. You give me hope. There are four more invited. I lost Eric's address or there would be 5 more. I hope you guys don't mind, I've forwarded the site to my brother in California and I think someone else.

Hey everyone, this is Mark, aka "the new guy". It looks to me like this is a new forum, or least there are only a couple of you using this at this time. I wanted to drop a note and tell you all that we are truly blessed that God led us to this Vineyard. It is what I have been craving for since we moved to FL. I also look forward to Wed's mornings, it was great way to start the day last Wed's and it blessed me through out the day. I just got the book "Secrets of Vine" look forward to starting. IN CHRIST, Mark.
Prayer request: Salavation for my parents, their down on vacation, bought my Dad "Left Behind" > he's really diggin it, he's plowing through it.
COME ON GUYS, THERE WERE AT LEAST 8 OF US LAST WED'S BUT ONLY 3 OF US HERE???? ;)

And the angels ...........fell before the throne and worshipped God saying:Blessing and glory and wisdom and THANKSGIVING, and honor, and power, and might,be unto our god for ever and ever, amen Revelation 7: 11&12.
"The business of our lives is not to please ourselves but to please God." Mathew Henry.
Have a great thanksgiving day, visit with loved ones if you can. Be safe!!
Jesus loves you and I don't blame him.

Tom, Alien Grape needs you.
He can't figure out how to blog.
I let him know that you can.
Tomorrow Carol and I travel to G'ville to visit with some of the "incredible edibles" (grandchildren.
No choice in this one!
Daughter called and pleaded. We need balance! Seems some in-laws from outer space will visit.
With God's help we will provide that balance.
"Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whosoever finds me finds life....Proverbs 8:34

Soccer @ 8:AM Saturday? Ten year old max has a game.
There is so much to get done on saturday.
Who cares? What is more important? Cut the grass?
If children are a gift from God what are grandchildren?
Mark 9:37 "Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receives me: and whosoever shall receive me, receive not me, but Him that sent me."
Sow into them, love them, cherish them.
Would that I had been more faithful in this arena 30 years ago.
Sixty, seventy hours a week is too long a work week when there is a wife and children at home.
Yes! Food, housing, all the "stuff" is important.
Want to leave something behind when you have gone?
Chanches are they'll fight over money and posessions and waste them.
Find the balance while they are young, while YOU are young.

The thoughts go raceing through my head like a streaming banner.
Now that I am at my keyboard where have they gone?
Do they travel on through space like a ray of light waiting for someone else to discover them?
Will I recapture them and share them at a later date?
Are they gone forever?
Will they return to me so that I may share them?
Does it really matter?
Carol goes to the eye doctor today. She is worried. Sometimes she almost blacks out.
God, comfort her. Help me to be what I need to be for her. Even better, "fix" it I pray.
6:15 AM I do not want to go to the office!
What else would I do for financial support? I don't know and so I go.
I found a neat web site last night about midnight. The biamist. A young Christian couple. They share their poetry, etc.

If some of the branches have been broken off, and you, though a wild olive shoot, have been grafted in among the others and now share in the nourishing sap from the olive root, do not boast over those branches. If you do, consider this: You do not support the root, but the root supports you.
Romans 11:17-18 NIV
If you have been grafted in, Pray for the peace of Jerusalem

Tom, congratulations on your first entry. Raisin

Bill, we are here for you.
Responsible people often pay some kind of personal price for being just that.
The reward comes later.

This is another incredible day!!
Would that I could avoid the office and straight to something outdoors.
At the office it is frustrating to be in the presence of so many dishonest people.
If they were to expend as much time and energy working as they do with personal issues on the phone and "positioning"
themselves wouldn't it be great?
God thank you for this incredible day and grant me patience with the other folks at the office.

God, protect those who serve at the scene.

I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch that bears not fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. John 15:1&2 The Bible.
