Hungry I come to You for I know you satisfy
I am empty, but I know Your love does not run dry

And so I wait for You
So I wait for You

I'm falling on my knees,
Offering all of me
Jesus You're all this heart is living for

Broken, I run to You for Your arms are open wide
I am weary but I know Your touch restores my life

Patricia Levy is a little four old girl who has blonde hair.
Patricia Levy is very special. She was born in Poland and basically didn't have a face. One eye was on the side of her head
and she basically didn't have a nose.
Patricia was adopted by the Levy's, who went to Poland and brought her back to Florida.
She has had numerous surgeries to correct the abnormalities.
A little more than a year ago one of those surgeries left her blind. The doctors said there is nothing they could do.
A few days later she regained some sight in her right eye only.
Last thursday Patricia had another operation. The doctors took a portion of a rib and grafted it into her face to help build for her a better nose. Her brother Jeremiah , also four, prayed for her. (Jeremiah was adopted from Haiti.) The operation caused her "good" eye to swell shut. She was blind again!
Friday the doctors let Patricia and her family go home because her mom was a nurse and her father still is, and are well trained to care for her.
Yesterday was Sunday and I was amazed to walk in to church and see Patricia. I spoke to her and she gave me a hug. I didn 't notice that her "good" eye was sealed shut.
Later her Dad explained to all of us that Patricia had miraculously gained sight in her "bad" eye.
Ain't God good?

What is love?
No word can define it.
It is something so great only
God could design it.
Yes, love is beyond what man can define,
For love is immortal, And God's gift is devine.

Why do the nations say, "Where is their god?"
Our God is in Heaven;
He does whatever pleases Him.
But their idols are silver and gold, made by the hands of men.
They have mouths but cannot speak,
eyes, but they cannot see;
they have ears but cannot hear, noses but cannot smell;
they have hands but cannot feel,
feet but they cannot walk;
nor can they utter a sound with their throats.
Those who make them will be like them,
And so will all who trust in them.
Psalms 115:2-8

We have returned from a sojourn to the mountains.

Nothing Happens Here:

The sun has begun it's afternoon descent
Soon it will sink behind the top of the ridge,
Taking with it the memories that were today.

But for now, sitting in a chair under the shade if an ancient maple,
I pause and listen.

Behind me, across the valley and across the creek,
a rooster is expressing his percieved dominance of the barnyard.

A pickup truck rattles down the road next to the creek,
it's tires crunching against the gravel surface.

Up the hill towards the workshop, two guinea fowel are foraging in the grass for the scourge of the Ozarks,
scratching and pecking until the reward, another tick is removed.

To the south, in the trees, a woodpecker is hammering and nearby, from the safety of an oak, a squirrel is scolding Cormack the cat.

Towards the north pasture two crows fuss about who knows what?

Cormack, who was just rubbing at my ankles has now caught a lizzard and is devouring it.

The lizzard's tail, laying in the dirt, squiggles unattached.

Flies are buzzing, dragon flies are ..............flying.

Up at the drive a cloud of dust rises, stirred up by Momma guinea.

And you said: Nothing ever happens around here!

He who fears the Lord has a secure fortress, and for his children it will be a refuge. Proverbs 14:26

Shalom, Y'all
