Patricia Levy is a little four old girl who has blonde hair.
Patricia Levy is very special. She was born in Poland and basically didn't have a face. One eye was on the side of her head
and she basically didn't have a nose.
Patricia was adopted by the Levy's, who went to Poland and brought her back to Florida.
She has had numerous surgeries to correct the abnormalities.
A little more than a year ago one of those surgeries left her blind. The doctors said there is nothing they could do.
A few days later she regained some sight in her right eye only.
Last thursday Patricia had another operation. The doctors took a portion of a rib and grafted it into her face to help build for her a better nose. Her brother Jeremiah , also four, prayed for her. (Jeremiah was adopted from Haiti.) The operation caused her "good" eye to swell shut. She was blind again!
Friday the doctors let Patricia and her family go home because her mom was a nurse and her father still is, and are well trained to care for her.
Yesterday was Sunday and I was amazed to walk in to church and see Patricia. I spoke to her and she gave me a hug. I didn 't notice that her "good" eye was sealed shut.
Later her Dad explained to all of us that Patricia had miraculously gained sight in her "bad" eye.
Ain't God good?
Shalom
