A very large segment of the population has been decieved by the public education system into believing that this country was not founded as a Christian Nation.
I transcribe here the FULL text of the Mayflower Compact, authored in 1620 by the settlers we call the Pilgrims. Certain portions are omited when published in public school text books in order to be politically correct, which results in the re-writing of history.
In the Name of God, Amen. We, whose names are underwritten, the Loyal Subjects of our dread Soverign Lord King James, by the Grace of God, of Great Britain, France, and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, &c. Having undertaken for the Glory of God, and the Advancement of Christian Faith, and the Honor of our King and Country, a Voyage to plant the first colony in northern parts of Virginia; Do by these Presents, solomnly and mutually in the Presence of God and one another, covenant and combine ourselves together into civil Body Politick, for our better Ordering and preservation, and Furtherence of the Ends aforesaid;
And, by Viture hereof do enact, constitute, and frame, such just and equal Laws, Ordinances, Acts, Constitutions, and Offices, from time to time, as shall be thought most meet and convenient for the general Good of the Colony; unto which we promise all due submission and Obedience. In WITNESS whereof we have hereunto subscribed our names at Cape Cod the eleventh of November, in the Reign of our Soverign Lord King James of England, France, and Ireland, the eighteenth and of Scotland, the fifty-fourth, Anno Domini, 1620
