A few historical facts:
There has never been an independent Palastenian state.
The area has contained Arabs and Jews for thousands of years
The area of Palestine was under Ottoman control for several hundred years
After WW1, British control under a League of Nations mandate, then United Nations control
The UN approved partitioning into two states in 1947
The Jews accepted, the Arabs didn't
The Jews moved to Israel, the Arabs moved to Jordan, Syria and Lebanon
The Jews became citizens
The Arabs became refugees
The Arab nations to which they went did not want their brother Arabs
The "Palestinians" share a common language, religion, etc with the other Arabs but were not accepted by them
The Jews have tried to settle the dispute and allow a Palestinian state but the "Palestinians" won't accept
The Arabs, who do not accept the refugees, along with the refugees, will gang up against the Jews although they don't like their brother Arabs
