We have committed the golden rule to memory; let us now commit it to life.

I started out forty years ago with nothing: I still have most of it.

There's an old story about the man who came home from work, kissed his wife warmly, and offered to help her prepare dinner. The wife broke into tears and cried. "What a rotten day! Tommy broke his arm, the washing machine broke, and now you come home drunk."
