Genesis 1:28

And God blessed them, and God said unto them, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowel of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth."

At the last report nine people have died in the California mud slide.
In my opinion this is the direct result of the environmental wackos who worship the created rather than the Creator.

Their intensive lobbying and political contributions have created a scenario where intelligent, thinking people, who could have cleared the underbrush and dead foliage that burned earlier in the year and set up the situation that led to the latest disaster were unable to do so.

Their misguided worship of the created led directly to it's destruction.
No excuses for the ones set the fires, of course!

Today we had a slightly less than positive lunch after church.
The service at the restaurant was so bad we only had to pay for our drinks!

The Jansens were at the next table for a while and that was nice.

Earl and Kathy were there with two of the girls, and that was a treat.

Tom Wilkinson was there, too.
Problem is, Tom died last summer.

But there he was, big as life, sitting, eating, talking.
Of course it wasn't really Tom but it must have been his identical twin.

Garrulous, grizzled, ever friendly, always ready with an opinion, (sometimes one would wish he wasn't),
Gone at the young and tender age of fifty five.
I miss you buddy.

Shalom,
Charlie

More actual statements made by drivers who had accidents:

A truck backed through my windshield and into my wife's face.

A pedestrian hit me and went under my car.

The guy was all over the road. I had to swerve a number of times before I hit him.

There is a reason for relating these humorous incidents on Christmas day.
During the holiday season trafic volume is very high!
Be careful out there.

Merry Christmas

God bless you

The following are actual statements found on insurance forms where drivers attempted to summarize the details of an accident in the fewest possible words:

Coming home I drove into the wrong house and collided with a tree I don't have.

The other car collided with mine without giving warning of it's intentions.

I collided with a stationary truck coming the other way.

I thought my window was down but I found out it was up when I put my head through it.

I have returned!
Nothing momentous there, it's just that my computer is un-broken.

My wife is acquainted with a lady whose just turned twenty yer old daughter is a soldier with the 101st Airborn, stationed in Iraq.

I don't know her but I am as proud of her as if she were one of my own grandchildren.
She was able to visit her mom and dad for thanksgiving.
At the airport when she was leaving for her return flight a passer-by made a negative comment about soldiers killing innocent babies. Only her Mom, Ella, heard the comment. Ella made an excuse to stay behind while the daughter and her Dad walked down the concourse.
When her husband realized that she was having a verbal altercation with the fellow he quickly returned and dragged the Ella away.
Once the plane was under way, the pilot made a positive announcement about the hero in the back of the plane.
Everyone cheered!!
They all gave her their peanuts to take with her because she and her buddy like them so much and there is almost nothing available in Iraq other rhan basic needs.
She was also escorted to the vacant seat in first class
for the remainder of the flight.
Ella stayed home from work the next day and cried.
God bless Ella, her husband, and her hero daughter.
God bless the crew, captain, and passengers who were on the flight and treated her so well.
God Bless America.
God bless You.

Living on Earth is expensive, but it does include a free trip around the son every year.

Birthdays are good for you.
The more you have, the longer you live.
